Description

P&P: £2 UK/Isle of Man/Channel Islands; £4.50 Europe; £6 RotW

Linda Smith and Alan Austen perform mainly traditional and self-penned songs accompanied by melodeon, autoharp and a Kentish lute built by Alan. Alan has gained his love of traditional music from singers such as Johnny Doughty and the Copper Family. They appear regularly at clubs in Kent, south-east London and further afield, and are also residents at the Travellers Rest Folk Club at The Bell in Kemsing.

The Wealden Way, their first together, comprises seven traditional songs (one from West Malling dating back to 1838), six of our own songs and a tribute to singer and songwriter Maria Cunningham for The Waters of Life.
